Santa to visit Vision Landscape Nursery
Santa will be at Vision Landscape Nursery, 131 Kitchen-Dick Road, Sequim, from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18. Bring a camera to take pictures.
Candy canes, hot cocoa, homemade cookies and snacks will be served. There will be a holiday light display.  Children and pets are welcome.

Armstrong re-elected to Tilth Board

The Tilth Producers of Washington membership re-elected Kia Armstrong, farm manager at Nash’s Organic Produce, to the board of directors for a fourth year. Armstrong will serve as vice president in 2011.
Tilth Producers of Washington includes more than 500 Washington growers and businesses as members. Its mission is to promote ecologically sound, economically viable and socially equitable farming practices that improve the health of communities and the natural environment. Chamber hosts open house

Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce Office and Visitor Information Center hosts its annual open house 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 1192 E. Washington St., Sequim.
Winter soups, breads, wine and warm beverages will be served.
Photos with Santa will be available. A chamber member business card drawing will be held.

Sears heroes wish registry
Sears Hometown Store of Sequim invites customers to donate to the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry™
through Jan. 1.
Donations can be made to the Wish Registry in the store, 232 Valley Center Place, Sequim, or at www.sears.com/heroesathome and will be used to purchase Sears gift cards for registered families.
Customers who make a nonperishable food donation at the store are eligible to receive a discount on the weekly “Holiday Heart” special through Dec. 31.

‘Clicker Fun’ scheduled
Legacy Canine Behavior and Training offers a new class beginning Wednesday, Dec. 29.
“Clicker Fun” is a three-session class that teaches how to teach a dog entertaining tricks. It builds on the basics learned in Legacy’s “Pet Dog Manners” class.

Santa to read Christmas story

Santa Claus will read “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Pacific Mist Books, 121 W. Washington St., Sequim, to little boys and girls who happen to be shopping in the bookstore at the time.

Henery’s has NW show tickets

Henery’s Garden Center has tickets to the Northwest Flower and Garden Show.  The show is held at the Seattle Convention Center Feb. 23-27. Tickets are $16 if purchased prior to the show and are not specific to any day.  During the show, tickets are $20.  Call 683-6969.
