Olympic National Forest hosts a timber sale purchaser meeting from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, May 10, at the USDA Service Center, 1835 Black Lake Blvd. SW, Olympia. The public meeting includes Olympic National Forest timber sale offerings for 2011.

Guild plans sale, auction and fashion show

The Sequim Dungeness Hospital Guild’s thrift shop, 204 W. Bell St., Sequim, will be open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 7, for a half-price sale.
All white-tagged items in the store will be marked half price.
Tickets also will be sold for the guild’s annual May luncheon/silent auction and fashion show on May 25 in Club Seven at 7 Cedars Casino. Tickets are $15. Call 683-7044.

New hours for McComb Gardens
McComb Gardens, 751 McComb Road, Sequim, is open new hours starting April 30. Hours will be 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The nursery is open every day.

Peninsula Heat Company has new manager

Kirk Vance is the new service manager at Peninsula Heat Company, 782 Kitchen-Dick Road, Sequim. He has worked in a similar capacity for more than 30 years in Sequim.
In business since 1996, Peninsula Heat moved from Port Angeles to its current location in 2005. The owner, Ken Lofstrom, has worked in the industry since 1973. Call 681-3333.

Price Ford Lincoln fundraises

Price Ford Lincoln, Port Angeles High School and members of the local community raised $5,420 for students at a recent test-drive event as part of Ford Motor Company’s nationwide Drive One 4 UR School program.
For each of the approximately 271 local residents who test-drove a Ford vehicle at the school on April 17, Price Ford Lincoln and Ford Motor Company donated $20 to benefit the school’s music program and other activities.
To date, Price Ford Lincoln has raised nearly $12,000 for area high school students through the program.

Bling canes patented
Innovation Law Group, Ltd. announced that the U.S. government has issued a federal Trademark Registration on BLING® for decorated, ornamented and personalized walking canes and walking sticks made by Bling Canes LLC of Sequim.  
Bling Canes will have a booth at the Sequim Lavender Festival Street Fair on Fir Street, Sequim, Friday-Sunday, July 15-17.
