Open house at Budget Blinds
Gabriel and Amanda Walsh, franchise owners of Budget Blinds of Port Angeles, will host an open house from 2-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at their Sequim showroom, 489 W. Washington St. The event is an opportunity for the public to view the company’s Smart Choice System, a software program which helps customers assess their specific needs in custom window coverings in the areas of energy savings, fading and sound absorption.

Cabled Fiber Studio to open
Cabled Fiber Studio will open at 106 N. Laurel St., Port Angeles, in October. A ribbon cutting ceremony is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, with the grand opening from 4-8 p.m. the same day.
The store will showcase the fiber arts and artists of the Pacific Northwest and offer classes in knitting, spinning, crocheting, weaving, felting and more, as well as have fiber, yarn, tools and sundries for sale.
Hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursdays; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and noon-6 p.m. Sundays.
