Job transition aid at library
The Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., is offering a free workshop series for people who are unemployed, under-employed or who want to make a career change. The sessions will be from 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 26-27, with lunch provided.  
The four consecutive two-hour sessions explore the psychological aspects of job loss, finding a job in tough times and how to make a transition back to work or into self-employment. To register or for more information, call the Port Angles library at 417-8500 or e-mail LKovell@nols.org.

Winter hours for Three Crabs set

Three Crabs Restaurant is open on its winter schedule at 11 Three Crabs Road, Sequim.
Hours are noon-3 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, noon-7 p.m. Friday and Sunday and noon-8 p.m. Saturday.
The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Blue Mountain vets offer early, late hours

Blue Mountain Animal Clinic, 2972 Old Olympic Highway, Port Angeles, has added early morning and late evening hours. Costume rentals support nonprofit

HOWL (Helping Others With Life), a new nonprofit, along with its sister store, Bev’s  Biz and Awesome Costumes, is open for costume rentals seven days a week from 11 a.m.-
8 p.m. at 230 W. Eighth St., Suites A and B, in  Port Angeles.  The stores also offer gifts, snacks, and more.
HOWL is a Native-American-founded nonprofit with programs for distributing food to those in need and organizing support groups and activities for those with anxiety disorders, PTSD, depression or other problems.

McComb Gardens goes to winter hours

McComb Gardens, 751 McComb Road, Sequim, will be open fall/winter hours­ — 10 a.m.-4 p.m. — starting October 30. The Nursery is open every day.
