Author talks up vegetable gardening


Marko Colby of Midori Farm speaks about caring for vegetable crops at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way, Sequim. At Midori Farm, Colby and partner Hanako Myers raise seedlings for area gardeners as well as growing high-quality organic produce and making traditionally fermented sauerkraut and kimchi. Their book, “Vegetable by Vegetable: Gardening Near the Salish Sea,” will be available for purchase at the free event.
