Ely’s marks 20th anniversary

Soon to be across the street from the new City Hall, Ely’s café has served American breakfasts, Chinese, and Vietnamese food since 1993 and is celebrating its 20th year in business. The café was completely remodeled in 2006 and the adjoining Yao International Market was opened in 2010. Ely Green’s daughter, Maria, is now the manager of the market. Green, a sole proprietor and the exclusive cook, raised two children and two nephews while running the café. The Sequim Personal Computer board and Planning Group meet at the café, regularly, as well as various, political discussion groups.
