Craft fair set at Avamere
Avamere Olympic Rehabilitation of Sequim is having its 3rd Annual Craft Fair & Raffle from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, April 25. For information, call Cherie Cariou, Life Enrichment director, at 582-3900 ext. 3941.
It’s dahlia time
Jan’s Country Garden, 344 O’Brien Road, Port Angeles, will open from 10 a.m-4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, for customers to pick up their dahlia tuber orders at this time. Otherwise, customers with dahlia tuber orders should pick their order up the last week of April or the first week in May, on Thursday, Friday or Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Diner hosts benefit
The Black Bear Diner, 1471 E. Washington St., Sequim, is hosting a “Dine to Donate” from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday, April 28, where a portion of the day’s proceeds will go to support the Captain Joseph House Foundation in its efforts to make a respite and provide educational support in Port Angeles for the families of fallen soldiers.
Fitness specialist earns certification
Ryan Juel of Fit4Life Studio, 1245 W. Washington St., is now a new certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and a certified TRX suspension professional.
Bank aids foundation
For 16 years, the Olympic View Community Foundation (formerly the Sequim Community Foundation) has been the recipient of a quarterly donation from Sound Community Bank. 2014 first quarter donations total $2,440.91. Donations to date now total more than $336,000. Sound Community Bank is able to offer quarterly donations to OVCF through a co-branded credit card called The Platinum Community MasterCard. One percent of all purchases made with the card are gifted to the foundation by the bank.
