Shaw’s art on display
Sequim artist Susan Gansert Shaw is exhibiting her paintings at Alder Wood Bistro in early February. “I have chosen to exhibit these particular pieces because they represent the local fields from which our grains are harvested and the fruits and flowers that are increasingly becoming part of our local fare,” Gansert Shaw said. “The painting of the bays, rivers and streams are our lifeline to the sea.” Gansert Shaw will be at Alder Wood Bistro for Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk from 5-8 p.m. on Feb. 4.
Gansert Shaw will be at the restaurant to talk about her work during the First Friday Art Walk Feb. 4. The artist has lived on the peninsula for 36 years and specializes in watercolor, pastel and graphite pieces.
