Shirley Lam, co-owner of Paradise Restaurant, right, received the January Business of the Month Award from Kiwanis Club of Sequim’s arrangements chairman, Shell McGuire. Lam’s husband, James, and his father opened the family run restaurant at 703 N. Sequim Ave., in 1989, four years before the couple married. Originally built as a place for students to go from Sequim High School, it was once called the Wolf Den. The restaurant can seat 150 patrons, with room for 30 in the cocktail lounge. Steak, seafood, pasta dishes, and special menus and meals are available. Locally caught seafood also is occasionally available. Paradise Restaurant supports school and sports events in the community.
