The Red Rooster Grocery hosts a representative from Port Townsend's Alpenfire Cidery from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, for a free tasting of Alpenfire's entire line of new local, handcrafted artisan vinegars.

Here is a list of the line of vinegars:

• Orleans style
Alpenfire's flagship apple cider vinegar aged in oak barrels for a minimum of nine months. The vinegar has a smooth finish and pairs well with many foods, and was a finalist in the 2012 Good Food Awards.

• Horseradish
An apple cider vinegar with a robust horseradish flavor.

• Spring Tonic
An apple cider vinegar with dried nettles and dandelion.

• Cabernet
A red wine vinegar made from local winemaker Richard Sorensen of Sorensen Cellars' Cabernet Sauvignon steeped with bay leaves, rainbow peppercorns and cacao nibs.

• English Ale
A malt vinegar made from Port Townsend Brewery's Scotch Ale and Boatyard Bitter, great for fish and chips.

• Mead
Made from Washington honey with a touch of bee pollen.

• Strawberry
Made from local strawberry wine with dried strawberries.
