Open house at Hartnagel’s
Hartnagel Building Supply, 3111 E. Highway 101 in Port Angeles, hosts a free “Roofing Day Open House” on Saturday, March 9.
The public is invited to drop in anytime from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to visit with vendor reps and local roofing professionals from Diamond Roofing, Earth Tech Construction & Roofing, Emerald Roofing and S-N-S Roofing.
They will answer questions about residential and commercial roofing, skylights, composite and metal roofing, torch down, flat roofs and more.

New hours at Alder Wood Bistro
Alder Wood Bistro, 139 W. Alder St., recently announced it will be closed for lunch permanently. New hours are 4:30-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays. Also, tapas night has changed from Tuesdays to Thursdays.

‘Green Fire’ a conservationist’s story
Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way, in Dungeness, hosts a free screening of “Green Fire,” an exploration of the life and legacy of conservationist Aldo Leopold, at 7 p.m. Friday, March 15. Author of “A Sand County Almanac,” Leopold was a founder of the science of wildlife management.
