Stewart leads Bones Bash effort

Sound Community Bank CEO Laurie Stewart, formerly of Sequim, is the Corporate Chair for the 2018 Bone Bash, an Oct. 13 event in Seattle raising funds to help raise awareness of arthritis and funds to find a cure via The Arthritis Foundation.

More than 250 community, business and healthcare leaders will attend this event, now in its 10th year; see www.arthritis.org/bonebashseattle.

Stewart was nominated for the role of Corporate Chair due to her impact to advocate and raise funds and public awareness of arthritis, and for her overall leadership in corporate philanthropy, event organizers said.

“You don’t have to have a connection to arthritis to make a difference,” Stewart said.

Stewart is also a member of the Arthritis Foundation’s National Board of Directors, and was recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal as a “Woman of Influence.”
