Taxi under new ownership

Sun Taxi &Delivery has a new owner as Itpinder (Hap) Singh Khela of Sequim purchased the business on Jan. 3. Services include delivery of fast food, prescription medication, small grocery orders and packages.

The taxi company also is a designated driver alternative and offers rides for medical appointments and errands plus service to airports, buses and cruise ships. Extra services include a car battery boost and gasoline delivery.

Mangano attends promo products convention

Debbie Mangano of “We Promote You” attended the Promotional Product Association International convention in Las Vegas, Nev., this month — the industry’s largest. At the conference, Mangano completed the requirements for recertification as a Certified Advertising Specialist.

First Fed appreciates customers

First Federal will be hosting its annual Customer Appreciation Day from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in all full-service locations in Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap and Whatcom counties. WeDo Fudges donates to KSQM

Part of the mission statement at WeDo Fudge is to be generous in the community and since its inception it has donated the retail proceeds of its peanut butter and chocolate fudge to a local nonprofit with the long-term goal of each flavor at its drive-thru being donated to a different nonprofit organization.

In 2016, $756 was donated to KSQM. Last year, its customers donated $150 in lieu of tips, which went toward distributing food to Sequim residents in need. WeDo Fudge will reopen April 18 with hours noon-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.

Free stuff at Oly Trading Post

The Olympic Trading Post, a secondhand store at 10632 Rhody Drive, Port Hadlock, has been revamped and is having a 50-percent off clearance closet in the front of the store. To give back to the community, everything on clearance is free from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
