Feeling the love at Decorate with Panache

Decorate with Panache has recently added a Valentine-themed display to its downtown location. “Our display windows are our love-letter to Sequim and we are delighted to provide downtown pedestrians, drivers and visitors warmth and whimsy,” Jodi Minker of Decorate with Panache says. Located at 154 W. Washington St., Decorate with Panache is open 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Clallam unemployment at 6.9 percent

The Washington Employment Security Department last week released unemployment figures for Washington state counties in December 2018. Clallam County has a 6.9 percent unemployment rate, state officials say — ranking 12th-highest among Washington’s 39 counties. Clallam had a civilian work force of 28,514, with 26,555 employed as of December 2018.

Overall, Washington state saw 11,400 jobs gained in December, with an unemployment rate at 4.3 percent. See for more information.
