Milestone: OMC honors employees for fundraising efforts

On Jan. 4, Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis and the OMC board of commissioners recognized three employees for their efforts in leading an employee combined fund drive.

Employees honored include Julie Black, director of support services; security assistant Kayla Owens, and Donna Pacheco, marketing and communications coordinator.

“The volunteerism shown by Julie, Kayla and Donna, and their support of the employee fund drive showed leadership and dedication above and beyond their roles here at Olympic Medical Center,” Rich Newman, OMC chief human resources officer, said. “These three ran an excellent campaign among their fellow employees, raising $106,683 for the United Way of Clallam County, internal charities and the OMC Foundation — this was nearly $20,000 more than last year’s campaign.”

This year’s basket raffle brought in higher proceeds as well, with more than $5,300 in ticket sales.
