Milestone: WeDo Fudge boost food bank with peanut butter donation

In August, WeDo Fudge held a peanut butter drive at their drive-thru fudge stand to benefit the Sequim Food Bank. To sweeten the effort, they gave each participant a free piece of fudge.

Thanks in part to a contest with Clallam County Public Utility District (PUD) #1 employees, WeDoFudge collected and donated 134 pounds of peanut butter, exceeding their goal of 100 pounds.

WeDo Fudge wishes to thank the people of Sequim and PUD employees for supporting the food bank.

“Sequim is such a great place to live because of all the generous hearts that live here!” WeDo Fudge co-owner Christina Norman said.

The Sequim Food Bank distribute food to about 2,100 Sequim families in need, operating on about $200,000 in monetary donations along with about $650,000 of in-kind food donations. Contributions help ensure a steady supply of important basic foods.
