Staff Sgt. Tristan Curren, a 28-year-old Port Angeles native, is serving as a Marine Corps drill instructor for Platoon 1022, Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion.

This excursion was part of Basic Warrior Training, which aims to develop recruits’ knowledge of common combat- and field-related skills, at Parris Island, S.C. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate April 4.
