Accepting the Washington Achievement Award for Greywolf Elementary School in Lacey last week are, from left, teacher Aaron Reno; teacher/district K-2 Instructional Literacy coach Krista Chatters; principal Donna Hudson; teacher Pat Quinet; teacher/professional development coordinator Pam Landoni; Shelley Langston, executive director of Learning Support Services, and Vince Riccobene, executive director of Teaching and Learning.

The Washington Achievement Award, issued by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, is based on statewide test scores for the three previous academic years.

Schools that qualified for the distinction were among the top 10 percent in improved test scores.
