Walk, explore in Port Townsend Saturday

Join the Olympic Peninsula Explorers on Saturday, May 31, for a Fort Warden/Cappy Trails walk. The 5- or 10-kilometer (3.1- or 6.2-mile) walk starts at 9:30 a.m.

Walk at your own pace through residential areas of Port Townsend entering Fort Warden, passing by several batteries on Artillery Hill.

The 5K walk is entirely within Fort Warden State Park.

Maps are available at the sign point for both walks.

The walks are free unless you members of the AVA American Volkssporters Association.

Walkers may carpool from  Sequim. Meet at the Sequim QFC parking lot, 990 E. Washington St., at 8:45 a.m.

Sign-up is at the Subway Restaurant, 1300 Water St. in Port Townsend.
