I've been remiss in not updating local sports fans about locals competing at the collegiate level.

So here, albeit quite late, are updates on a quartet of former Wolves who competed in the fall:

Christina Bruce, University of Great Falls (cross country)
A senior at Great Falls, Bruce finished 31st overall (out of 56 runners) and fourth for the Argos at the Frontier Conference championship meet in Nov. 2. Her major is psychology/health and human performance.

Zane Carey, Linfield College (soccer)
Carey, a junior midfielder, played in 13 games (1 start) and scored one goal for Linfield this fall. He is majoring in exercise science. Linfield finished with a 7-11 record for the season.

Allison Cutting, Seattle Pacific (cross country)
Cutting, a junior, competed in two meets for the Falcons, placing sixth on the team (356th overall) at the St. Martin's Invite on Sept. 22 and eighth on the team (171st overall) at the Charles Bowles/Willamette Invitational on Sept. 29. She has an ecology major and a sociology minor.

Audrey Lichten, Linfield College (cross country)
Lichten, a sophomore, finished the 6,000-meter race in 23:33, good for 78th place overall (out of 126 competitors), helping Linfield place seventh in the 18-team NCAA Division III West Region Cross Country Championships in Independence, Ore., on Nov. 10. She was 19th at the 2012 Northwest Conference Championships in Forest Grove, Ore., two weeks prior. She is majoring in electronic arts.

Sequim college athletes to keep an eye on in the winter include:
Ethan Hinton, Southern Oregon University (wrestling)
Joe Hutchison, Southern Oregon University (wrestling)

And in the spring …
Demiree Briones, Green Mountain College (softball)
Reed Gunstone, PLU (tennis)
Lea Hopson, College of Southern Idaho (softball)
Anna LaBeaume, Linfield (track & field)
Ryan O'Mera, Walla Walla CC (golf)
Zoei Zbaraschuk, Sonoma State (golf)
