OTA sets workshops on directing, makeup

Larry Harwood, stage director of Olympic Theatre Arts' presentation of "Cabaret," holds a directing workshop from 2-4 p.m. on Sundays, March 14-21, in the Caldwell Theatre at OTA, 414 N. Sequim Ave.

He says these workshops are for directors and actors who want to build a play character from the ground up. He will map out how to prepare for a role, starting from prior to an audition, and guide those interested in directing with techniques to work with actors.

The fee is $10, payable at the first workshop. For reservations, call 683-7326. Leave a message with your name,

e-mail address and phone number and that you are calling about his workshop.

At the same time, actor/singer Penny Pemberton, fresh from the Kit Kat Klub opening scene, will hold a four-hour hands-on workshop on make-up and hair styling for the stage in the green room/dressing room. The fee is $10. Call 683-7326 with name, e-mail and phone number, requesting her workshop.
