Accordion social

Paul LaMarche is the featured player at the Sequim Accordion Social, 1-4 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St., Sequim.
All accordion players are invited to bring their instruments. Accordion lovers are invited to attend.
A $2 admission is requested at the door to pay for the room. Call 683-5620.


National parks star in web movies

The North Coast and Cascades Science Learning Network recently released a series of nine "Science Minute Movies." The series profiles staff in eight Pacific Northwest national parks, including Olympic National Park, and offers behind-the-scenes looks at science in action. Each movie is approximately five minutes long and the entire series may be viewed at www.nwparkscience.org/video.
