Help plan Sequim's centennial town picnic

A major highlight of The City of Sequim's centennial year will be an old-time town picnic on the Fourth of July, 2013, at the Water Reuse Park north of Carrie Blake Park.

Organizers invite interested citizens from Sequim and the Dungeness Valley to help plan the event, which is expected to include entertainment on stage all day; sports and games; and contests for beards, pies and checkers.

Vendors will have goodies such as hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy and lemonade.
