Symphony, pianist celebrate film music

Piano soloist Peter Mack joins the Port Angeles Symphony for two performances of music written for or used in famous films on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave.

Included works are Kenneth Alford's "Colonel Bogey March," Franz Waxman's suite from "Rebecca," Victor Young's suite from "Shane" and George Gershwin's Concerto in F.


The morning dress rehearsal is at 10 a.m., with tickets $5 per person or $10 per family.


The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 ($12 senior/student) for general seating and $30 and $20 for reserved seating.
