Readers Theatre Plus asks community to share stories of Sequim

Search out those favorite stories of life in Sequim. Readers Theatre Plus plans to celebrate the Sequim Centennial with a show comprised entirely of “first-hand” stories of Sequim and asks the community’s help in gathering them.

In fact, the troupe is soliciting stories from anyone who grew up in Sequim, moved to Sequim or worked in Sequim before the year 2000.

All submissions are welcome. They must be appropriate for theatrical reading and not extremely long.

They can be real stories, funny incidents, romantic accounts and even imagined tales, as long as they’re set in and around Sequim.

Deadline for submission is July 4.

Send stories (subject line “Sequim Stories”) to KSQM via e-mail at; to the website at; or by mail to KSQM, P.O. Box 723, Sequim, WA 98382.

Call Readers Theatre Plus at 797-3337 with questions.

Readers Theatre Plus will acknowledge all stories received.

The group retains the right to edit items for the show (with the author’s approval).

The show, entitled “A Century of Sequim,” will be presented over the first two weekends in October and will benefit KSQM-FM radio.
