Poetry workshop open to community

A Peninsula College poetry workshop with writer-in-residence Jane Mead is open to P.C. students, staff and faculty and to community members. To participate, submit a short (limit five pages) poetry manuscript to the college by Friday, April 26.
Ten participants will be chosen for the workshop, which meets 2-5 p.m. Thursday, May 16.
Manuscripts may be submitted by mail or online to P.C. English professor Janet Lucas at jlucas@pencol.edu. Participants who are selected will be notified by May 8.
Mead is the author of “Money Money Money/Water Water Water,” forthcoming from Alice James, as well as three previous books of poetry and numerous publications in journals and magazines. A recipient of grants and awards from the Whiting, Lannan and Guggenheim Foundations, she serves on the faculty of the Drew University Low Residency MFA Program in Poetry and Poetry in Translation.
