'Gypsy Reflections' stir Olympic Music Festival

The Olympic Music Festival features "Gypsy Reflections" as the famous summer concerts in and around the century-old dairy barn continue at 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 3-4. Pianist Julio Elizalde joins Alan Iglitzin on viola, Stefan Milenkovich (violin), Andrea Segar (violin) and Matthew Zalkind (cello) for a program that includes Haydn’s String Quartet in D Major, Op. 20 No. 4; the Violin Sonata No. 3, Op. 25, "In the Romanian Style," by Enescu; Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances, Sz 56; and the Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34, by Brahms.

The festival grounds at 7360 Center Road, Quilcene, open at 11 a.m. and the barn opens at 1 p.m. Visitors also can listen on the lawns as the concert is broadcast outside. No pets are allowed on the farm.
Tickets are $18-$33, available by phone (360-732-4800) or online at www.olympicmusicfestival.org. For program listings and complete details about the festival, visit the website or call for a free brochure.
