Music Live with Lunch kicks off

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., hosts the 21st season of Music Live with Lunch starting Tuesday, Sept. 17. The half-hour recitals begin at noon, followed by a hot lunch on the third Tuesday of each month through May except for December.

Dr. Joel Yelland, the medical director of the Lower Elwha Health Clinic, kicks off the season with a variety of songs like ‘Climbing up the Mountain,” Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen” and “Kalinka” accompanied by Lorraine Martin, the church’s music director.

Since moving to Sequim three years ago, he’s worked with the Peninsula Singers, Readers Theatre Plus, “Broadway and Bordeaux,” directing the choir at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, and playing percussion with the Sequim City Band and Port Angeles Symphony.

Tickets are $10, and are available at the door, or after the morning worship services on the two Sundays before the concert each month. For a limited time, season tickets can be purchased at the price of seven for eight.
