PA Library seeks DIY Art Show entries

The autumn Art in the Library exhibit at the Port Angeles Library will be an open call show.

The final Art in the Library exhibit of the year will feature locally produced arts and crafts that characterize a “do it yourself” approach to artistic expression, for example, arts and crafts made from scratch or from repurposed or natural materials, functional art, and/or art exploring themes of self-reliance, creative problem solving and resilience.

Local artists of all ages and skill levels, including emerging artists, are encouraged to participate.

The DIY Art Show runs from Oct. 10-Jan. 8 with an opening reception and Art Blast held on Oct. 11.

Deadline for submitting requests is noon on Oct. 1. Artists will be promptly notified whether their work is being accepted to the show.

Accepted artwork must be delivered to the library sometime between Oct. 7-9, and exhibitors must sign an exhibit agreement. E-mail
