Edey to demo sketching at Sequim’s MAC

The Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley presents a botanical sketching demo with noted Sequim artist and author Iris Edey from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The demo, held at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim, is free and open to the public with donations appreciated and light refreshments provided.

As part of the event, Edey signs copies of her 2012 book “Sketches” that features 180 botanical drawings, and the poetry books “Still Shakin’ with Laughter” and “Lifelines,” which she illustrated; all are available for purchase at the MAC.

Other free art demos at the MAC Exhibit Center this fall include carving with Jamestown S’Klallam tribal artist Jeff Monson and beading with Florence Adams Monson. Both demos are sponsored by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and held in conjunction with the Hall-Adams Family Exhibit currently on display at the MAC Exhibit Center.
