Gospel Singers usher in the Christmas season

Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers present two Christmas concerts this year, one each in Sequim and Port Angeles.

Led by director Michael Rivers, the gospel singers sing at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 923 N. Sequim Ave., and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

Rivers hand-picked Christmas classics with an original carol for the performance featuring four-part voices.

The shows also feature a smaller group performance, a handbell solo, piano solo and dual piano accompaniment on “Ding Dong Merrily on High” with four hands.

The audience is invited to participate at the end with several classic carols.

Admission is by donation and the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers will sell their Christmas CD, “O Holy Night.”
