Artists sought for juried show

Entry forms are now available for the Sequim Arts 38th Annual Juried Art Show. Sequim Arts is seeking entries for its annual juried art exhibit which is open to all adult artists. The show will be hosted in the Bell Creek Plaza, 990 E. Washington St., Sequim and will run from May 2-11 and is an official event of the 2014 Sequim Irrigation Festival.


All work must be original in interpretation and composition, not copied from copyright or published art or executed in a supervised class and be for sale. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional art such as, but not limited to oil, acrylic, water media, mixed media, original prints, collage, pastel, fine art photography, digital art, drawing, assemblage, sculpture (any medium), basketry, ceramics, glass, jewelry and textiles. Cash totaling over $1,500 will be awarded.  


This year’s juror will be Suzy Kueckelhan of Bainbridge Island. Her work can be found in both private and public collections throughout the Northwest, in the U.S. (including the Secretary of State building in Washington, D.C.) and overseas in Kuwait, France and Japan.      


A non-refundable entry fee is required for a maximum of five entries per artist. Artists this year may fill out their application online. The entry deadline is March 15.
