A capella group earns second

Aspire!, an all female group from Sequim, took second place in the open/adult division at the West Sound A Cappella Festival on March 5 in Poulsbo.
Eight a cappella teams competed for $2,000 in prizes. According to the Kitsap Sun, Mosquito Fleet/Kitsap Chordsmen took first place in the adult division while Harmonic Impulse, a group of North Kitsap High School students, took first place in the youth competition.
All but two a cappella groups — Aspire! and Momma’s Boys from the Puget Sound’s east side — were from Kitsap County.
