RT+ sweetens up to ‘Olive and the Bitter Herbs’
From starlet to curmudgeon, Olive, played by Barbara Drennan, is in for a comedic ghost story of her own in Readers Theatre Plus’ latest show “Olive and the Bitter Herbs” by Charles Busch.
Olive, the former commercial queen, tries to shut people out of her life but nosy neighbors learn she’s got a spooky secret — a ghost in her mirror.
At her Passover dinner, secrets hit the fan as stories are revealed to an interconnected finale revealing more about the specter.
Ron Graham directs cast members Kath Beecher, Pat Owens, Jim Dries, Peter Greene, Don White and Jeff Clinton with Shelley Taylor serving as assistant director.
“Olive” begin at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, March 28-29, April 4-5, and 2 p.m. Sundays, March 30 and April 6, at Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road.
Tickets are available for $10 at Purple Haze Lavender store in Sequim, Odyssey Books in Port Angeles and the Clallam County Genealogical Society; and $12 at the door.
All proceeds benefit the Clallam County Genealogical Society.
