On June 14, 1997, the Blue Whole Gallery, an artists’ co-op with 26 members, opened its doors. What started as “an experiment in excellence, a fine art gallery of professional artists pursuing creative originality” has continued and thrived to this day.

The gallery currently has 30 artists working with oil, acrylic and watercolor, mixed media, assemblage, photography, fused glass, metal sculpture, ceramics, wood sculpture and turning and jewelry.

Join the artists of the Blue Whole Gallery to celebrate its 17th anniversary from 5-8 p.m. First Friday, June 6.

Lynne Armstrong and Christian Speidel showcase the front windows.
