Block printing demos

Randy and Sallie Radock invite the public to their art studio for block printing demonstrations and art an exhibit at 1021 N. Littlejohn Way, Sherwood Village, Sequim.

The exhibit is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday-Saturday, July 18-19.

A hymn sing by the sea

At 4 p.m. on July 26, enjoy the nation’s rich hymn heritage in an inaugural Hymn Sing, directed by internationally known hymn writer and musician, Dr. Frank Garlock at the Washington Music Festival, at George Washington Inn & Estate, 939 Finn Hall Road, Port Angeles. Bring your lawn chairs.


Author to read novel

Author R. Anne Moore will be reading her newly published novel, "A School for the Dead," at the Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road, from 4-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. She is a professor of education at Willamette University in Salem, Ore.

While passing through Sequim, she was inspired by the Dungeness Schoolhouse, which became the setting for this 139-page novel.
