Multifaceted writer Lynnette Baughman brings her latest effort, "Bed, Bath and Beloved," to the Museum and Arts Center for a book signing on Thursday, Dec. 3.
In "Bed, Bath and Beloved," she expands her setting in Bitter Falls, a fictitious town in Montana, where all three of her romance books take place.
She said the plot consists of two sisters moving to a mansion they've inherited. One of the women, Annie Riker, also is escaping with her young daughter from a dangerous ex-husband in Seattle.
They meet Jack Cabrini, an architect who moves to town with his younger sister. The mother and architect develop a relationship while trouble creeps up on them.
Baughman will have copies of all her books to sell and sign, including "Love with a Welcome Stranger," which won two awards for contemporary romance.
Baughman has four published mysteries and three romances.
Moving between romance and suspense has been easy, she said.
"They are both satisfying. In a mystery, the bad guys get what's coming to them. In a romance, the couple ends in a happy relationship," Baughman said.
"I like that the two
genres have that in common."
Baughman said she enjoys combining genres in her new book, which she calls a romantic suspense thriller.
She and her husband have lived in Sequim for seven years.
Her books are available online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and in person.
