An orientation meeting for students wishing to apply for the Clallam County Fair royalty scholarship program is planned for 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at the fairgrounds kitchen, 1608 W. 16th St., Port Angeles.

A parent or guardian must accompany the student and a completed application is needed.

Applications are at all high schools and online at the county Web site www.

clallam.net.

Applicants do not need to be in 4-H or FFA but do need to have a 3.0 grade-point average or better. Royalty positions are open to young men and women.

Applications will be reviewed and judges will select finalists for the positions. The coronation will be held at the fair in August.

For more information, call royalty chairman Christine Paulsen at 452-8262.
