Avid bicyclists are bringing their rides to the Sequim Irrigation Festival.
On Saturday, May 1, the second Bicycle Poker Run takes place all around
Riders make up to seven stops in any order to collect playing cards, hoping for the best five-card poker hand.
Participating business stops are:
• Mike's Bikes
• Purple Haze Lavender
• Port Williams Lavender
• Jardin du Soleil
• Nash's Farm Store
• Nelsons Duck Pond & Lavender Farm
• Cedarbrook Lavender & Herb Farm
Riders will go about 38 miles if they go the distance.
Co-organizer Dave Neidhardt said they started the event to tie in with the Family Fun Day at Carrie Blake Park.
"It also shows off the wonderful farms in the area," Neidhardt said.
Last year's event had 18 bicyclists but only 12 finished, due to poor weather.
Organizers seems optimistic about this year's participation, with increased advertising and awareness.
