"Crossings" is the theme of the Northwest Women's Chorale's spring concert. A diverse selection of songs will emphasize the theme.

Composer Paul Halley's "Untraveled Worlds" draws from the poetry of Alfred Lord Tennyson. "Crossing the Bar" by Gwyneth Walker describes one's emotional state. Other vocal selections describe "crossings" as a moving journey or passage. Even the chorale's traditional sing-along will focus on travel.

Rebeccah Cadorette and her daughter Acacia of Port Townsend will interpret in sign language. Both venues are accessible to persons with disabilities, and seating will be reserved for those with special needs.

The group is directed by Joy A. Lingerfelt and accompanied by pianist Kristin Quigley Brye.

"Crossings" will be performed at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 16, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, and at 7 p.m. Monday, May 17, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 Lopez Ave., Port Angeles.

Tickets may be purchased at www.NWPerformingArts.com, or at the door for $10. For more information about the concerts or audition opportunities, call 457-9306 or e-mail director@nwwomens chorale.com.
