‘Mixed Media’ author visits Port Angeles

Carla Sonheim, author of “Drawing Lab for Mixed Media Artists,” visits Port Angeles from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 12, for a public workshop and book signing at Art Supplies Unlimited, 124B W. First St., Port Angeles.

Sonheim recently moved to Seattle and has taught at various art retreats such as Journal Fest, Artfest, Art & Soul, The Art Nest and ArtUnraveled. She also conducts online workshops.

Cost for the day-long workshop is $72. During the 1-2 p.m. lunch break Sonheim will give a free presentation about her book, which includes 52 drawing exercises to open the mind and quell the fear of creativity. A catered lunch from Oven Spoonful is available for $10.
