The aviation-themed works of artist Priscilla Messner-Patterson take flight at the Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley in August as part of a month-long joint art exhibition.

Messner-Patterson joins the Pacific Northwest Wood Artisans for the dual exhibit, which runs through Sept. 1 at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St. in Sequim. 

She showcases 22 oil and watercolor pieces, most for sale, as part of her “Observations – From Air, Land, Sea, and the Local Coffee Shop” exhibit. 

The award-winning Sequim artist and art educator, who lived for 23 years on Kodiak Island, Alaska, is a member of the American Society of Aviation Artists, the Northwest Air Force Art Association and the Coast Guard and Air Force art programs.

Fourteen Pacific Northwest Wood Artisans members contributed 31 pieces that widely vary in size, artistic method and wood type, many of which are for sale.
