Q: What is a digital subscription?
A: A digital subscription provides unlimited access to all content on the newspaper's website, our mobile website, and our Green Edition.
 
Q: What if I already have a print subscription?
A: Thank you! Unlimited digital access is already part of your subscription at no extra cost. You'll just need a log-in for unlimited digital access. If you haven't activated the digital part of your subscription yet, please click here.
 
Q: How does the digital subscription work?
A: Some portions of our site will remain free; your access to other portions will be limited without a digital subscription. Each time your computer or smartphone visits our site, your use of the site's pages are counted. Some portions of our site will remain fully accessible, which means you'll continue to have unlimited access to those pages. Those include our home page (the first page you come to on the site), our section fronts (the "front" page of the News, Sports & Schools, Island Time, Business, Neighbors, Crime Watch, and Opinion sections of the site), obituaries, calendar, and all advertising. But articles will have limited access. A certain number of these limited-access pages will be available for free within each month. Once you reach your free access limit, if you don't have a digital subscription, you'll be required to subscribe or wait until the next month to access them.
 
Q: Can I buy a subscription on the website?
A: Yes. You can purchase home delivery of the newspaper plus online access or just the online access quickly and easily through our site.
 
Q: What are my digital subscription options?
A: There are several options for Print+Digital as well as Digital Only. To view our available options, please click here.
 
Q: What if I already renewed my newspaper subscription? Do I have to pay extra now?
A: No, your subscription includes access to our digital products. However, you do need to activate your digital subscription by clicking on this link and following the steps. At your next subscription renewal date, your subscription package will change to an Gazette digital subscription.
 
Q: How do I sign up for a digital subscription?
A: Click here and select an available package to sign up.
 
Q: Can I comment or read the comments without paying for a digital subscription?
A: You will be able to read and post comments on stories during your limited access period. Once you have reached your allotment of stories, you would need to log in with a digital subscription to continue your access.
 
Q: Will I be able to view the site on my iPhone or Android phone without a digital subscription?
A: Yes, but you will need a digital subscription to read stories once your allocated pages are used each month.
 
Q: Is access to the print replica (e-edition) included in my digital subscription?
A: Yes. Log in with the email address and password you used to create your Gazette digital subscription and you will gain access to our Green Edition.
 
Q: What is Press+?
A: Press+ is our e-commerce system for digital subscriptions. When you subscribe, you will create an account with Press+ to access our digital products. Press+ will charge your credit card for the subscription amount. The charge will appear on your credit card statement as "Press Plus" in the amount you have selected for your subscription.
 
Q: If I have a computer at home and a computer at my office, do I need to purchase two digital subscriptions?
A: No. You can log in using your account username and password from wherever you access the Internet.
 
Q: Can everyone in my household use the same account?
A: Yes, you can use the same account for all your family members, up to 5.
 
Q: I'm a print and/or digital edition subscriber and activated my Digital Access subscription, but now it won't let me in.
A: It is possible that the address listed on your digital subscription does not match the address we have on file. Please contact us at 888-838-3000.
 
Q: What if I go on vacation?
A: If you placed your home delivery subscription on vacation hold, you will continue to have uninterrupted access to your digital subscription for one week. If your vacation hold is longer than one week, then you'll need to sign up for a digital-only subscription for the remaining time you'll be away.
 
Q: How will digital-only subscriptions be billed?
A: We accept major credit cards. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on which option you choose when you sign up. Your subscription renews automatically, and you are charged in advance of each billing cycle unless you cancel.

Note: Because Press+ is managing the billing for your digital subscription, the charge on your credit card statement will say "Press Plus" rather than the newspaper.
 
Q: Can I pay by check, invoice, or PayPal?
A: For digital only subscriptions purchased via Press+: Unfortunately, no. All payments are via credit card. For print and digital subscriptions purchased via The Gazette: You may pay by credit card, check or cash. Call 888-838-3000 to pay via phone. For cash payments, please visit our offices.
 
Q: What is the cancellation & refund policy?
A: You may cancel your subscription at any time.

For digital-only subscribers that cancel, we will stop charging your account the following billing cycle. Subscriptions that span 30 days or less (e.g. monthly subscriptions) and donations are non-refundable unless canceled within 24 hours of purchase. If you cancel a subscription that spans more than 30 days (e.g. annual subscriptions), you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for all unused months of your subscription. Press+ reserves the right to suspend or terminate your subscriptions to Press+ products if you breach these terms and conditions without further obligation to you.

For print subscribers, we will stop charging you upon cancellation.
 
Q: How do I sign in to my account once I've subscribed?
A: If you purchased a digital only subscription, you are automatically signed in as soon as you subscribe; there isn't anything further you need to do. If you are prompted with a message to subscribe at a later time, you can log in with the account you created. If you subscribed at one computer and would like to sign in at a different computer (e.g. home and work computers), go to the subscriber page and click "Sign In." If you purchased a print and digital subscription, go to the subscriber page and click on "Activate my subscription" in order to create your Press+ login account.
 
Q: How do I access my digital subscription account?
A: To access your account, follow these steps:
  • Visit this page at Press+.
  • Log in with your email address and password
 
Q: What do I do if I forgot my password?
A: To reset your password, follow these steps:
  • Visit the log-in screen.
  • Click "Forgot password."
  • Enter your email address and click "Submit." This will send you an email with a link to reset your password.
  • After clicking the link, you will be prompted to enter and confirm your new password.
  • Click "Submit" and your password will be updated.
 
Q: How do I modify my payment/credit card information?
A: If your subscription includes the printed paper, please call us at 888-838-3000 to modify your payment information.

If you purchased a digital-only subscription, modifying your payment information is available via Press+ directly. To modify your payment information, follow these steps:
  • Click "My Account" at the Press+ website.
  • On the "Account Summary" page, select "Modify Payment Information"
  • Confirm that the cardholder name and billing zip code of your credit/debit card are correct
  • Enter your card number and expiration date
  • Click "Submit" and your payment information will be updated
