Abuse for ‘vote no’ decision

As a concerned taxpayer and business owner in the Sequim School District, I find it very disconcerting that all we hear about for the most part is for the Yes vote. I wonder how many people have had a good hard look at some of the facts for this vote.

In the paper it says the increase will be $360 for a $200,000 home. If you work out your property tax on your home, you may be surprised just how much this new tax will be. On a $600,000 home you will face a rise of over $1,000 per year, this is without an other rises by the city or county.

Since I have had a “Vote No” in my shop I have been subject to abusive phone calls and people stopping by to say that I’m wrong for not supporting schools. I always thought that America was a democratic country but it seems that I was wrong, it is a matter of agree with our way of thinking or we will run you out of business as I was told on the phone yesterday. Mind you they never told me their name and it was a phone with a blocked number. SO AMERICAN AND DEMOCRATIC.
