Column hits the mark
I so appreciated Lorraine Loomis’ guest opinion in your Dec 5 issue (“Move forward on water quality standards,” page A-13). She laid out her informative piece with feeling.
Thanks to Lorraine and the NW Indian Fisheries Commission, for their role in outreach and education. There are ongoing, urgent needs for watchdog action on environmental issues!

Thanks to a generous community
Sequim Community Aid wishes to acknowledge the generosity of the community in supporting our first ever “Toys for Sequim Kids” on Sunday, Dec. 2.
From Walmart, who provided a collection site, to the high school leadership class, whose members enthusiastically greeted shoppers at the Walmart doors, and also to the many, many shoppers who donated toys, clothing and gift cards to be given away at the Toys for Sequim Kids on Dec. 12.
We belong to a wonderful community and are proud to live here! Thank you!!!
