93 Days of Summer — week four

July 12

Take in a flick in a unique setting. The Starlight Room at the Rose Theatre in Port Townsend shows various first-run, classic and indie movies, and offers patrons comfortable recliners and couches in a theater overlooking downtown Port Townsend and Admiralty Inlet. July 13

Try tent or RV camping at the Hobuck Beach Resort on the Makah Reservation, located on the west end of the Reservation at the end of Highway 112. Cost is $25 per vehicle per night, $40 per night per RV and $5 per boat trailer/extra car. RV/tent sites are first come, first served. Note: A Makah Recreational Use Permit ($10 per vehicle) is required while visiting the reservation. (www.hobuckbeachresort.com)

July 14

Catch some of the area’s top musicians at historic Fort Worden State Park during the Olympic Music Festival’s 2018 summer season, kicking off July 14 and 15 with Bach’s “Goldberg Variations.” (www.olympicmusicfestival.org, info@olympicmusicfestival.org, 360-385-9699)

July 15

Check out exotic wildlife by spending the afternoon at Olympic Game Farm. See tigers, Kodiak bears, buffalo, more. Adults (15+) are $15, children 6-14 and seniors (55+) are $13 and youths 5 and younger are free. The venue is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturdays. July 16

Looking for a place for you kayaks? Hit the water at any number of top peninsula spots from Sequim Bay State Park, Cline Spit, Dungeness Landing and Port Williams to Gardiner Beach or Diamond Point Road. July 17

Explore the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe campus in Blyn. Research native history at the tribal library, purchase unique, local art at the Northwest Native Expressions art gallery, view totem experts at the carving shed and finish off with some gaming at the 7 Cedars Casino. (www.jamestowntribe.org)

July 18

Prep for lavender festival! Sequim’s Lavender Weekend. You may have heard of it. This year’s event is July 20-22 — but locals can hit the farms in full bloom and maybe miss some of the traffic. See www.visitsunnysequim.com/index.aspx?NID=166.
