‘Family’ is theme at readings

Fourth Friday Readings, sponsored by Writers on the Spit, will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at The Lodge’s media room, 660 Evergreen Farm Way, Sequim, with the theme of “family.” Bring poems, short-short stories or memoir/novel snippets. Author discusses Makah book

Makah author and scholar Joshua Reid will give a reading from his award-winning book, “The Sea is My Country: The Maritime World of the Makahs,” at the Studium Generale event from 12:35-1:25 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Peninsula College’s Little Theater.

His book has received numerous literary awards. Reid’s presentation is free and open to the public. The book is available for sale at Port Book and News in Port Angeles.

Dance at the Grange

Buck Ellard will be performing for your dancing and listening pleasure from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Sequim Prairie Grange Hall. Cost is $10 per person. Food will be provided. The Grange Hall is at 290 Macleay Road, Sequim.
