Award-winning authors headline Sequim writers’ conference

Kate Breslin and Dennis Brooke are among 15 presenters at the Olympic Peninsula Christian Writers’ Conference on Nov. 3 in Sequim. The conference, sponsored by Dungeness Community Church, offers a full day of writing advice on writing craft, the business of writing, publishing options and the life of a writer.

In 2015, Breslin won a Carol Award for Debut Novel from American Christian Fiction Writers for her World War II novel, “For Such a Time.” Breslin, of Bremerton, will see her fourth book in print in early 2019.

Last year, Brooke, of Seattle, was a Carol Award Finalist in the same category, with his novel “The Last Apostle.”

Keynote speaker Diana Savage, former director of Northwest Christian Writers Renewal conference, will share “Three Guidelines for Success after Missing the Boat.” Savage is the author of “52 Heart Lifters for Difficult Times,” and offers writing, editing and speaking through her business Savage Creative Services.

Several Clallam County authors will also share their writing expertise during one-hour sessions.

A full schedule and details of each presentation are available online at www.opcwc.com.

Registration can be completed online, or by mail using a printable registration form from the website.

A light breakfast and lunch are included in the conference fee of $60. After Oct. 15, the cost is $80.
