Brokers with Windermere Real Estate/Sequim-East and Sunland presented a check for $2,000 to Kathy Fong and Linda Alexander of Sequim Community Aid on Feb. 13.

The funds for this donation come from the Windermere Foundation. A portion of each Windermere broker’s commission on every real estate sale are set aside to this fund, to be donated to nonprofits that serve the community.

The volunteers of Sequim Community Aid serve homes within the Sequim School District, providing those in need with assistance in paying their utility bills or rent.

Because of an especially cold winter, the group had to dip into savings this year to cover the cost of higher heating bills.
