On May 26, Writers on the Spit hosts the Fourth Friday Readings at The Lodge, 660 Evergreen Farm Way in Sequim. Authors Eva Stanfield and Beth Pratt will share the spotlight as featured writers. Both women are lively storytellers with tales to tell about life on the peninsula.

Stanfield is a lyric soprano, pianist and teacher who has performed music internationally. She has completed a memoir and numerous short stories about growing up on the Olympic Peninsula. Pratt is a violinist, advocate for music education and president of the Sequim Community Orchestra.

An hour of 5-minute open mic readings will follow the featured writers. Interested writers should come early to submit their names. For guidelines, contact myerslindab@gmail.com. The readings begin at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event.
